Easter is one of my favorite Holidays that I have always loved. It is one of the holidays that holds so many special memories. Easter to me represents the beginning of Spring and a new beginning. Colorful flowers start to bloom, the green grass starts to sprout, the air is fresh and clean, and everyone starts to wear pastel colors. Although this year will be much different than past Easters, I wanted to share my Easter design with you! These times are stressful and unknown, so I hope this Easter room makes you feel; happy, positive, and removes you from reality, if even just for a moment! Please stay healthy, safe, and well. The best thing to look forward to right now, is knowing that Summer is right around the corner.
Setting up the hutch for Easter, with playful dishes and custom wooden Easter Bunnies. I painted the inside of this vintage hutch a beautiful pale mint green which lends to the perfect backdrop for a collection of new and old dishes. I had handmade pottery custom made in my colors with a mix of polka dots and stripes. Mint green and white striped pottery blend beautifully with white and cream French pitchers and platters. The little custom wood Easter Bunnies pose perfectly on the shelves. Hippity Hoppity…
Easter wouldn’t be Easter without beautiful little sweet treats. I made little meringue kisses, covered in sweet white sugar. I then layered them on a simple cottage style cake plate, lined with pretty bakers paper, which sits on a second cake plate full of delicate white on white petit fours, layered with white buttercream. White sugar cookies covered with fairy sugar and mint green fairy dots, are irresistible on a vintage Milk Glass lattice plate.
Looking through the white Apple Bloom Flowers, towards the mint green and white hutch full of beautiful dishes is so satisfying to me. Vintage criss cross glass doors sit wide open, inviting your eye in. I absolutely love love to layer for interest – so I extended the design outside the glass by adding hanging dishes on the wall.
Fresh tulips are a must for me, when it comes to Easter, as well as having them in my garden. I added the fresh blooms to my English vintage enamel pitcher. I love to mix and match fabrics, textures, and even flowers. Turquoise and white Polka Dot Dinner napkins are mixed with Striped Dinner Napkins in the same hues. Always have fun with whatever you do in your home.
This custom mint green linen table cloth is the perfect base layer to add white dishes, candy jars, and cake stands atop. Adding a touch of black and white to the table and hutch, as well as a touch of vintage, adds depth to the look. Little baby dishes with scolloped edges full of Easter Jelly Beans, is a sweet personal touch for each guest.
Final touches are just like the icing on the cake. Custom slipcovered cushions blend seamlessly on the white wicker dining chairs, topped with pretty throw blankets.
I hope by pulling this entire Easter room together, brings a little happiness to you, and to whoever you are able to share it with. The Easter Bunny will hop up the path with goodies in his basket for all! Happy Easter, from my family to yours! xo

DESIGNER SWEETS FOR CHRISTMAS
A beautiful kitchen cupboard full of mugs and dishes for your hot cocoa and butter cookies.
Baking for Christmas is one of the best parts of the holiday. Mandi and I, working on new cookie designs. The sweet smell of butter filled the cottage kitchen with an oh so cozy aroma… There is nothing like butter cookies right out of the oven.
Sweet buttery treats that melt in your mouth. We made royal icing and tinted it all different shades of turquoise with soft whites. Silver candy stars top the Christmas trees, adorned with light pink, mint green, and turquoise French Dragees (Sugar Pearls).
Laying out all the cookies for everyone to enjoy as if it were an page from a childrens book. Cottages all lined up in a row with christmas trees, as reindeer fly overhead. Sugar snow flakes fall to make snowmen, and the half moon sleeps as the night falls near.
End the day with homemade cocoa topped with hand cut pink marshmallows. Sweet sugar cookie cottages and sweet hearts, made to sit on the rim of the mugs, melt in your mouth as you enjoy your cozy treat.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday and Happy New Year! Stay Warm… xoxo

A COZY WHITE CHRISTMAS
Getting ready for a cozy white Christmas in Sarasota Florida. Mandi’s Cottage is like being in a dreamy White Christmas. Baking fluffy mini Christmas cakes and drinking hot cocoas as we wrap gifts and children write to Santa. Oooooh what fun it is getting ready for the Holiday’s. Fluffy Christmas cakes on a cloud of white, topped with snow flakes and silver glitter sprinkles. Enjoying Christmas candy and all kinds of goodies.
Next to the wintery white Christmas Tree are gifts being wrapped with creative thoughts. Then it’s time to sit and get cozy with a blanket and cup of spicy hot cider. A wonderful way to spend an evening during the Holiday Season. I will be spending my Christmas at Mandi’s Christmas Cottage with family and friends!!
I wish you all a Happy Merry Christmas.
HAPPY 4th OF JULY
Take a look at my all AMERICAN style on the wharf in Nantucket, MA. A small cottage that I remodeled and designed!
The classic American nautical look… Red – White – and Blue! Look out the seaside window as boats sail through the harbor, how charming is that? Real life coastal living.
Sweet Summer linens on the cottage beds. Sweet dreams as the salty sea air rolls in through the windows.
Enjoy your barbecues, sparklers, and fireworks on this 4th of July…
AND may your summer be filled with bike rides, fireflies, and family! xxoo

TRACEY AND MANDI’S CHRISTMAS COTTAGE ON A SEASIDE COVE
A Christmas cottage on the seaside cove in Kennebunk Port, Maine.
Come in and enjoy the Christmas cottage by the sea that me and my wonderful daughter, Mandi, created in the cove at Kennebunk beach in Maine, which adorns the pages of Coastal Living Magazine. We had so much fun creating this project.
Making cupcakes and Christmas cookies in the kitchen for Christmas is heartwarming. Stringing seashell lights up the stair case for an enchanting evening!
Overlooking the cove on Christmas morning with Christmas goodies in jars.
At the kitchen sink Christmas morning looking out at the sea.
Tumbled beach stones from the beach outside make a wonderful fireplace to hang Christmas stockings. Old general store doors out to a porch overhanging the cove. A warm cozy fire to warm your toes, Christmas tree with handmade decorations, stockings made by Sweet Summer Linens, cotton throws to keep warm so you can snuggle up Christmas day.
Stockings hanging by the fire, seashells, pepper berries, seeded eucalyptus and pine boughs make the mantle all natural.
Make paper cottages to add some whimsy to it and general store jars full of vintage Christmas bulbs. Create a clothesline and pin your stockings like we did. You can add a little sparkle by covering the clothespins in old fashioned glitter.
What’s a Christmas cottage without all the trimmings?
Christmas stockings hanging one by one, filled with Christmas goodies. Oh, how sweet!
Paper Christmas cottages designed by Mandi of Sweet Summer Linens. A fun project to enjoy with your children to embellish your decor.
Evening time is a wonderful time to sit and enjoy the lighted tree. Seashell lights are a perfect coastal Christmas idea.
Sailboats made from paper with an old fashioned, simple paper chain, glitter snowflakes, white glass bulbs with polka dots on them can make a charming seacoast cottage tree. Simple and fun to make. Tip: We sprayed white paint on the tree to make it frosted.
What’s Christmas without a few pretty wrapped gifts? So pretty that you do not want to open them.
It’s evening. Time for bed snuggling and dreaming of santa and the cinnamon yeast rolls on Christmas morning with icing.
It’s Christmas morning. Smell the sausage cooking and the cinnamon yeast rolls coming out of the oven. Ooooh, what a smell!
A small vintage Christmas tree to add to a bedroom so when you are sleeping you have a cozy Christmas feel.
Christmas gifts await at the foot of the bed. Pretty boxes and pretty ribbons add to the Christmas ambience.
A quiet nook to make Christmas ornaments, cards and crafts.
Santa quietly filling Christmas stockings at the ends of the beds as you quietly sleep, dreaming of Christmas morning.
A special place to read a Christmas story to the little ones. Paper mittens and seashells hang from the window while fresh boughs with pepper berries adorn the sill. Light the candles on the window sill Christmas night. How enchanting!
I wish you all a Merry Christmas, and to all a good night!
COZY SWEETS FOR CHRISTMAS
It’s the sweetest time of year. Baking at my home with Cate McLean of 2FeelPositive. All the warm smells, pretty Christmas lights, the Christmas music playing and having something good to drink. Enjoy while you bake your Christmas cookies, trim the tree and wrap your gifts. Soft colored snow flake sugar cookies. Oh, so pretty and unique, and they even taste wonderful.
A fun filled gathering to enjoy homemade sugar cookies and Christmas candy while opening small gifts from each other.
How to say Merry in a new way! How delicious.
Steam a pot of Hot White Chocolate with handmade cut peppermint marshmallows from Butter Baked Goods & Cafe, known for their marshmallows. They have a wide variety of flavors. Oh, so so good. Even better with sugar cookies. Santa is a very lucky man this year!
White chocolate peppermint bark with crushed peppermint candy on top. So much fun and easy to make.
How cute are these? Cate made little Christmas bulbs.
How adorable is the tea pot with the stocking hat cozy? I had to get it. So, so adorable and oh, of course I had to buy the pink marshmallows when I saw them. Oh, a little white Christmas tree adds so much charm to a table. The mini paper chain was made by my daughter Mandi. Simple things in life are so special.
Sugar confections – nothing like them. So festive!
How sweet it is. Yum, yum good!
Gathering and enjoying the holidays with dear friends and family makes your heart all warm and cozy.
